Sometimes...

Sometimes you don’t know how precious something is until you have lost it.

Sometimes you take for granted small little things like kissing your wife/husband good night or good morning.

Sometimes you forget to say “thank you” when someone does something nice for you.

Sometimes you forget to say “I’m sorry” when you bumped into a stranger in a shopping mall.

Sometimes you forget to visit a good friend who is sick in the hospital.

Sometimes you forget to say “congratulations” to a friend who has just given birth to her first baby or to a friend who has just been promoted.

Sometimes you forget the people who voted you into power.

Sometimes you just forget.

You forget but you expect people to remember you.

Selfish. Inconsiderate. Forgetful.

The world is full of those people.

The Garage Sale..aftermath...

Remember the Garage Sale? We sold off most of the household items and clothes. But we didn't manage to sell the strollers and my collection of cassettes. Damn! Don't people listen to cassettes anymore? :P

So if anyone is interested to buy them cassettes from me PLEASE let me know. Collector's Item okay. Overall we made quite a bit money. I'm just glad I got rid of some of the junk that has been collecting dust under my bed. I still didn't have the heart to get rid of all of my romance novels. Sentimental value I guess. I enjoy reading Judith McNaught's novels over and over again. I'm a sucker for happy endings.

I think when you want to organise a garage sale you have to remember what is your objective of having the sale. Is it to make money or to get rid of the clutter/junk that you have accumulated over the years? What about people who go to the sale? Are they looking for items on bargains or are they in fact accumulating more junk? Our junk to be precise. In any case, I'm just glad there are people who are bargain hunters and look forward to these kinda sale. In fact there's even a website promoting these type of sales.
